You goat a friend in me
Caring for our animals is the most rewarding aspect of our farm life, but goat care is labor intensive and very expensive. We rely on the help of our volunteers to get the work done, and on the continued support of our community to help us cover the high costs of keeping our animals safe and happy. Our biggest cost is hay followed by veterinarian care, especially emergency hospitalizations. You can read more about our goats here and about our care practices here.
Below are multiple ways in which animal lovers can support our farm. All of these have been suggestions from long time friends of the farm and we are always eager to explore clever ways to fund our labor of love and get our community involved at the same time. Sponsorships are contributions on behalf of a specific goat but they benefit the entire herd. As a sponsor, you will receive a Sponsor Kit via email that includes a photo, a fact sheet, and a certificate of sponsorship.
There are 6 levels of sponsorship and some come with additional benefits including birthday cards, campfire mugs, and free farm visits.
Sponsorship options include monthly subscriptions (starting at $5/month; automatically charged once every month) and annual subscriptions (starting at $60/year; automatically charged once every 12 months). Both subscriptions may be canceled at any time.
Please note that some of the benefits for the monthly subscriptions are only available after 6 months of support, while all benefits for annual subscribers will be available after only 4 weeks. All digital materials are delivered within 48 hours.
Subscriptions are not refundable.

Sponsorships make excellent gifts for the animal lovers in your life. One-time gift sponsorships (starting at $60) have the same benefits as the annual subscriptions but they are not automatically renewed.
Please note that you will need to enter the recipient email information and for Levels 3+, you will have the option to enter their birthday (day and month only) as they will receive a birthday card from the goat you are sponsoring on their behalf.

Every year we collaborate with a local photographer to create a calendar featuring our very own goats. All photos in the 2023 calendar are by Raleigh photographer Jaclyn Auletta and the calendars are locally printed by the good people at Laser Image in Durham.
Profits from our goat calendars are used towards the cost of winter hay. They can be purchased for pickup at the farm or for shipping.
